Simulation of the Response of Capacitive Nanoelectrode Biosensors

Abstract: 
Based on accurate 3D numerical models performed with an ad-hoc code based on the Control Volume Finite Element Method, we present criteria for optimum detection of biomolecules and colloidal particles with capacitive nanoelectrode-array biosensors. We also validate our predictions with experimental results.
